Austria - Christmas Markets in Vienna and Salzburg

A short trip to Austria over the Christmas Holidays:

Overnight flight from JFK, NY to Vienna, Austria

Day1:

spittelberg Christmas Market

lunch at rinderwahn @ 1:30pm,Weihburggasse 3,1010 Wien,ph:4315120996- very good burgers

 

Belvedere Castle Christmas Market, saw wonderful Klimt,art inside the museum

Dinner near the shopping area by Hotel Wien 

Day2:  visit to Schorrnbrunn castle, excellent history of Austria, beautiful gardens; there was a Christmas market in the front courtyard which was quite large and beautiful.Christmas Eve Dinner at Grand Brasserie, Hotel Wien.Rathausplatz market wich is in front of the  visited the Christmas Dinner

Day3: train ride from Vienna to Salzburg which took over 4 hours and was very scenic.

Day4:Dinner Stiftskeller St Peter with  live Mozart ConcertMini

Day5:Train ride back to Vienna with a full day in Vienna for more sightseeing and shopping; we stayed at the Grand Hotel Sacher as a special treat. It is an amazing hotel that has hosted many celebrities and the movie "woman in gold" was filmed in the beautiful  lobby where we had after-dinner drinks.
